Tropical Parrot GPO: Understanding the Colors, Calls, and Chaos of a Parrot Group

Hi bird lovers! :)

So… I think I live inside a Tropical Parrot GPO (Group of Parrot Outlaws). Every morning sounds like a jungle documentary — complete with drama, laughter, and the occasional squawk that could wake the neighbors three houses away.

If you’ve ever kept more than one tropical parrot, you know exactly what I mean. They form their own little societies! My Macaw is the self-appointed mayor, the Cockatoo is the local gossip, and the Conure thinks she’s the queen. Everyone talks, nobody listens. 😂

It’s amazing to watch how they interact — they argue, make up, share food, and even team up to steal snacks from the kitchen counter. The noise might drive you crazy at times, but it’s their way of showing excitement, curiosity, and emotion.

Each parrot has its own personality, but when you put them together, you get this colorful chaos that’s honestly addictive to watch. It’s like having a feathered sitcom right in your living room!

Anyone else here running a “tropical parrot community” at home? Who’s the boss in your flock? 😅
