Mitzi growls or at the very least crackles at everyone she doesn't know as well as anything she can see that she doesn't like, so that was all of the waiting room and the examination room and anyone she saw so I had to keep the cover on. I had her in the animal carrier covered up with the cover I made for it but she still growled until I lifted a tiny bit of the cover and she saw it was me and then she said "hello" She was growling so loudly we couldn't discuss her in the same room, we had to go out in the corridor. The vet examined her while I was out of the room and you could hear her growling in the waiting room. Then when she was being brought back down the corridor in the animal carrier the growling got louder as she got nearer.
I am actually surprised that she hasn't made the connection with going in the animal carrier and going to the vets. I thought after the first visit I would never be able to get her back in it but she goes in okay.
Chy goes for routine check-ups and has made the connection. As soon as we leave the house, she starts asking to go home. The vet said to take her for trips elsewhere so she doesn't associate the carrier with the vet.
Even though she is not pleased to visit the vet, she never growls at anyone and usually talks up a storm while there.

I can't hear her wheezing, I think the vet only picked it up when he examined her. He didn't think it was anything to be concerned about. She has been saying the word "parrot" for the last few days, it isn't a word she used to say. It seems to be her favourite word at the moment.
Somewhere in another universe, dear brother, you got saved.
