It’s always a two person job when we do Chyloe’s nails. I hold her on her back on my knee while hubby uses the Dremel. She clenches her foot so tightly, I have to pry it open. She does some muttering but is otherwise well behaved.

I have to wrap Monty when I do his beak. He is very used to it as his beak has needed trimming all his life. Mitzi has never been wrapped and I dread to think how she would react but fortunately she has never needed her nails or beak trimming.
Somewhere in another universe, dear brother, you got saved.
This is a job I leave for the pros. Ruby needs a trim every few months, especially her nails but also beak. The groomer takes her in the back in a secure area as a safeguard because her wings aren't clipped. I don't know if they are just trying to make me feel good or what but lately they've been complicating me about how well behaved she is. I have my doubts!
I do my birds myself, but only because my husband is already at the bottom of the totem pole and he thinks if he helps, they'll wage an all out war against him. I use a blanket, and they both know what is coming when they see the nail clippers, but they give up pretty quickly. It only takes a few minutes each bird. I don't do them the same day.
