I had to use a small step ladder (only two steps) to change a light bulb in a wall light. I managed to get it into the room and had even gone up it to remove the old bulb, and gone down it again. Then Mitzi saw it and started growling, which I expected. I didn't expect her to continue growling once I had taken the step ladder out again. I had to tell her it wasn't there anymore even though she had seen me carry it out.
Kind of love the little growl, unless they really are afraid. Sid only does it for the vacuum cord , but the quaker 'alerts' the whole neighborhood for stepstools, ladders. chairs, moving furniture. I hope she does the same when the aliens arrive. LOL
Sheeba will growl at a new toy like her life is in eminent danger, but if you move a huge washing machine past her cage, she will act like she wants to help and says, "where are you going"? If I wear a new flannel shirt in a light color, she will be angry and go into "bite first, ask questions later" mode. Eventually she figures out it's me under the new color.
They can be strange. These days when I put a new toy in Chy's cage, she immediately jumps on it and starts to destroy it. Yet when I take out her perches to clean then put them back she is afraid of them.
