Our little grey has most of her downy feathers. All except the very top of the head. Its head looks really dusty and I can only imagine is very itchy with the new feathers coming through. It has some dark grey wing feathers coming in now.
How young should we do a spray-bottle bath? I'm thinking it would make the bird feel better.. Just dont know if it's appropriate at this age. I saw in FAQ's a thread about bathing but couldn't reply on that one as its turned off.
I would not do either at her age. It is important to keep babies warm until they have all their feathers.
When she is fully feathered, you can mist her or give her a bath depending on which she prefers. My Chyloe hates being put in a bath and will cling to me so hard to prevent me from putting her in water. When she feels like a bath, she will dunk herself in her water dish. When she does that, I take it as a sign to spray her.
