So we had a garden brunch during the eclipse with some friends and family. Once the sun was covered at it's max(99% in Portland, Or.) there were 2 big wharf rats that came running into the garden from under the fence, they looked a bit confused to say the least. Guess I'll have to dust off the rat traps, hadn't seen any for awhile.
Must have been in the northern part of the state if the flamingos were confused. We had 85% occlusion in S. Florida and honestly you wouldn't have known there was an eclipse unless you had the glasses. The temperature stayed the same and no one seemed to notice even the slightest dimming of light.
