My CAG Rio is coming home on Wednesday 3rd. He'll be 13 weeks old. His cage is currently back againsed one wall. How long is best to leave him to settle before I can open his cage and get him used to me please? Thanks Rachel Xx

Just go at his pace and don't try and introduce too many new things at once. His behaviour should indicate whether he is nervous or not - whether he is keeping his distance or whether he is interested in what is going on and more eager to make contact. As he is 13 weeks and used to humans he might actually want contact sooner rather than later.
Somewhere in another universe, dear brother, you got saved.
If he isn't growling or fluffed up threatening you, then I would let him out right away. You can just open the door of his cage and let him climb out on his own. At 13 weeks he may not be very coordinated, so he will probably look a bit clumsy climbing around.
Congratulations on getting a new baby and lifetime friend!!
If you had a chance to visit him at the breeder, he will be used to you and you can have him out immediately. That is what I did with my first grey. We acquired Chyloe as a result of our first grey dying. We did not see her until the day we brought her home. She was timid and huddled in the bottom of her cage. It was days before she would venture out.
Just let your bird's body language guide you and take it easy.
