Hi my names Leonard......im not to hot on the computer hopefully it will come in time......i have a question about my grey......can anyone advize plz......I adopted Jazz a 12 yr old she outlived her previous owner.......it was a big deal for her losing her owner and mooving to new surroundings.....ive had her for two months i give her everything she needs and gives me loads back.....i have read the threads from members of the forum and can relate to their parrots antics......my Question is she has grown pinky-orange feathers on her chest and shoulders.....is this normal.....can anyone shed a light?......regards Leonard.
It is so sad for Jazz to lose a loved one but nice to hear that she is settling in with you. They are wonderful birds.
The different coloured feathers sound like she has some red factor. It is not unusual for a grey to spring red or pink feathers on different parts of the body other than the tail. My Chyloe has pink feathers on her thighs. Another member's bird gets one grey feather in the tail. We are coming into spring and a lot of moulting is going on and new feathers growing in.

Would love to see pics. Sid also has a nice amount of "red factor" on his chest in 3 areas. Everyone said that he aged he would lose it, but at almost 6 it is still there. Will have to get a good picture , this one hardly shows it. We are all so proud of our greys. Welcome to you both.
