Thanks for your reply. I am worried now. Laid 2 eggs and since then he looks very tired. Wings drooping down and almost looks like he's lying on the perch in a ball of puffed up feathers. When asleep he's rocking backwards and forwarders. Not his normal self
Thanks. Looks like I am having a boiled egg today. I took two photos earlier of the position he sits (usually the wings are down and head not visible). Can a parrot be in love with a toy or object? Seems to play with that particular bell and woods piece a lot. If not playing with it he sits next to it all day.
He uses a bell that's hanging to tickle behind his head. Went to the vet yesterday I was concerned that he might be egg bound thankfully that's not the case. Sent a poo sample away just for piece of mind. Seems livelier today typically ;-p
I'm glad to hear she is feeling better. While it can be expensive to have blood and stool tests done, it is worth it to know what your bird is lacking or if she is fine. I have Chy's blood tested every couple of years to be on the safe side.

Your grey has quite a bit of red factor, with all those red feathers on her back. That looks beautiful. I have a female that laid eggs for a few years. She never sat quite like that though. She usually sat more flat, but when she was laying she spent all her time at the bottom of the cage making nests.
Your girl definitely looks like she's exhibiting breeding behavior with the wings out like that.
Hopefully all is well with the infection. Did the vet say what kind of bacterial infection?
